GroundWork Support 8 Monitoring Current: Dashboards Dashboards fas fa-video GroundWork Monitor 8 offers several ways to view and analyze your monitoring data. Home Dashboard — Best used to view a summary of your infrastructures top problems. The Home Dashboard is the first page displayed in the GroundWork Monitor system, provides an at-a-glance view of top problems and immediate issues. Status Summary — Status Summary offers real-time updates and responsive graphing, and top-problem displays. Insight — Best used to view time series data for a selected host service. Provides insights into time series data in a series of graphs over a user-specified time scale. Hit List — Best used to view host and service problem totals with direct drill-down to more detail. The Hit List dashboard provides an at-a-glance and up-to-date view of all unresolved issues, both acknowledged and unacknowledged, from all monitoring sources. NOC Board — Best used to view particular sets of infrastructure monitoring data. GroundWork Monitor dashboards are used to display infrastructure monitoring data. The NOC Board dashboard, provides a Network Operations Center view with an extremely responsive at-a-glance look at a defined subset of your network operations and what is currently in an alarm state and in particular what has and has not been acknowledged. Events — Best used to view monitoring events with direct drill-down to more detail. The Events dashboard allows for viewing and filtering of GroundWork monitoring events from all monitoring data sources including virtual environments, servers monitored by Nagios, Cloud Hub, Syslog and Trap feeds. Graphs — Best used to view service performance data. This dashboard option uses the integrated Grafana application, a dashboard builder for visualizing time series data. SLA Carousel — Best used to display a continuous rotation of custom SLA dashboards. SLA Dashboards can be displayed in the SLA Carousel option providing users a glance of each of dashboard on a rotating basis. Log Analysis — Best used to view monitoring log data. The Log Analysis dashboard option uses the Kibana application. ELK Stack containers are included in GroundWork Monitor 8 and Kibana lets users visualize data with charts and graphs in Elasticsearch. Virtualization — Best used to view a VMware environment with direct drill-down to more detail. Displays the totals for virtual machines, hypervisors, datastores, and networks, and offers hover-over element totals for alerts and drill-down capability direct to the Status Summary for additional detail. Nagios — Best used to view direct Nagios CGIs. Nagios is an open source host, service and network monitoring program. GroundWork Monitor 8 utilizes Nagios as a polling and notification engine for monitoring network infrastructure.
